Chinese Fondu Broth recipes

 
1 can beef broth
2 beef oxo cubes
3 c. water
1 tbsp. Heinz chili sauce
1 env. onion soup mix
1 onion, cut up
 Simmer 1/2 hour. Serve with thin strips of beef (eg. eye of the round) and bits of vegetables eg. cauliflower, onion, fresh mushrooms, celery, green and red pepper, etc. (in strips). Serve in fondue pot using fondue forks. Excellent with rice and salad.

  • 500 ml red wine
  • 6 small onions , cut in rings
  • 3 garlic cloves , sliced
  • ¼ lb butter
  • 2 (10 ½ ounce) cansbeef consomme or 2 (10 ½ ounce) cans beef broth
  • 2 (10 ½ ounce) cans water
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce or 2 tablespoons salsa or 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

    Sauté the onions and garlic and then add the rest of the ingredients.

    Simmer the broth for about an hour and then pour into a fondue pot.

    Enjoy with pieces of beef, chicken, seafood and vegetables!
