Smoothie's

Feeling tired for no reason? Stressed and run down? Have trouble getting up in the morning, or require caffeine, sugary or salty snack to keep going? You might suffer from adrenal fatigue! Making some simple lifestyle changes will help you on the road to becoming adrenal fatigue-free. Consuming the proper foods, learning to breathe properly and reduce stress all help the adrenals repair themselves.
This smoothie contains ingredients that are known to help support our adrenal glands. Adaptogenic ingredients such as siberian ginseng and ginger increase the ability of an organism (humans, other mammals, etc.) overcome the stress of environmental factors like stress, pollution, disease and toxins. They essentially help the body adapt to stress and deal with it more efficiently.
Ginseng has been used for centuries to heal, nourish, strengthen and stimulate the adrenal glands. Ginseng helps boost energy levels, fights stress and increases our mental alertness. Ginger is great for normalizing our adrenal hormone levels too! Greens have plenty of vitamins and minerals like vitamin K which regulate the production of hormones in the nervous system to help us sleep better and to improve the body's response to stress and physical activity. In addition, bananas and dates are loaded with potassium, magnesium and B vitamins all of which promote an overall sense of calmness and aid in the production of serotonin and melatonin. These two brain chemicals promote muscle relaxation and stress relief!

Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas (when they have cheetah spots, they are ready to eat!)
- 1 green apple
- 1 tsp. siberian ginseng
- 1 tsp. raw ginger powder
- 1-2 cups spinach or kale (or a bit of both!)
- 4 pitted medjool dates
- 1 cup young thai coconut water

Take the above ingredients and pulse blend in a blender for 20-30 seconds. Enjoy!
